At CareerSource Okaloosa Walton we offer a variety of Assessment Tools for pre-employment and career interest. Through assessment reviews and testing, employers will receive referrals of talented individuals. As a potential new hire, the candidate may be screened for the employer using “any or all” of the following assessments.

Pre-Employment Assessments by AMCAT Aspiring Minds

Skill testing and pre-employment assessments evaluate the jobseeker for competencies in various occupational skills. Aspiring Minds offers over 1,400 validated assessments for clerical, software, technical, call center, industrial, financial, legal, medical and more.

Personality and Career Aptitude

Do you know what career best fits your personality? Explore job and career options using our Personality Assessment tools. Do you want to find out your career match today? Take our Traitify Assessment today. Traitify is an excellent resource CareerSource Okaloosa Walton offers to help you identify your career match based on your individual characteristics.

TABE Survey

Job seekers may be given a TABE survey. This is a test of Adult Basic Education Skills to assess levels of reading comprehension, language, math computation, and math application skills prior to the referral to the employer or to training.

Florida Ready to Work

Florida Ready to Work is a new employee credentialing program that tests and scores job skills and work habits. It gives jobseekers a competitive edge, a Credential that proves to employers that they have the right skills and the right attitude for the jobs. Florida Ready to Work is sponsored by the State of Florida and available to employers at any of the CareerSource Okaloosa Walton centers.

How it Works

  • Job seeker takes online placement test in three skill areas: Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information- Research shows that these tests measure the fundamental “workplace” math, reading and problem-solving skills required for more than 85 percent of all jobs
  • If the Placement test shows that the student/job seeker needs improvement in any of the skill areas, the program provides free online Courseware
  • When ready, the job seeker takes takes the proctored Assessments in Applied Mathematics, Reading for Information and Locating Information
